Gin Fizz

Ingredients

2 oz.	Dry Gin
1 oz.	Lemon Juice
.75 oz.	Simple Syrup
	Soda Water

Directions

1. Combine the Gin, Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup into a Cocktail Shaker with Ice.

2. Shake for 15 Seconds

3. Double Strain into a Rocks Glass

4. Top with Soda Water

5. Garnish with a Lemon Slice

The Gin Fizz is drink that dates back to at least the 1800's. It has the same ingredients as the Tom Collins, but is distinguished by the way it is prepared and served. There are a number of variations of this cocktail. The Silver Fizz has the addition of an Egg White, the Gold Fizz has an Egg Yolk, the Royal Fizz has a whole Egg, and the French 75 substitutes the Soda Water for Champagne. This drink is an Official IBA Cocktail.

1 oz.	Cranberry Juice
.5 oz.	Lime Juice
.25 oz.	Simple Syrup (Optional)

Directions

1. Combine all the ingredients into a Cocktail Shaker with Ice

2. Shake for 15 Seconds

3. Double Strain into a Cocktail Glass

4. Garnish with a Lime Wheel

The Cosmopolitan, or Cosmo, is a drink that was made popular in the 90's by the show Sex in the City. The origin of this cocktail is unclear. Some say it was a riff on the Kamikaze, while others say it is based off a cocktail of a similar name, the Cosmopolitan Daisy. This Cocktail is an Official IBA Cocktail.

1. Peel some Lemons

2. Put the Lemon Peels in a glass container with Vodka

3. Let it Soak for 48 to 72 hours

Citron Vodka is a lemon infused Vodka that is used in a couple of cocktails like the Cosmopolitan and the Lemon Drop Martini. You can buy it at the store, but can be made at home pretty easy if you don't think you will use a full bottle. You can make other infused Vodka by substituting the lemon peels for different ingredients like Cucumber or Orange Peels.
