Blood Orange Martini
Ingredients
1 oz. | Blood Orange Juice |
2 oz. | Gin (or Vodka) |
.5 oz. | Triple Sec |
.25 oz. | Lime Juice |
2 Dashes | Orange Bitters (Optional) |
Directions
Combine all the ingredients into a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
Shake for 15 Seconds
Double Strain into a Chilled Cocktail Glass
Garnish with a Slice of Blood Orange
The Blood Orange Martini, like many other drinks, is a "Martini" in name only. Blood Oranges are less tangy than other oranges and provide this drink with an interesting deep red color that would be hard to replicate in other ways. If Blood Oranges are out of season or hard to find where you're from, other oranges could be substituted in. This would, however, change the overall look and taste of the drink.

.75 oz. | Dry Vermouth |

Combine all the ingredients into a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
Shake for 15 Seconds
Double Strain into a Chilled Cocktail Glass
Garnish with a Slice of Blood Orange
