Champagne Cocktail
Ingredients
1 | Sugar Cube (or .5 oz. Simple Syrup) |
2 Dashes | Angostura Bitters (Aromatic Bitters) |
.25 oz. | Brandy (Optional) |
| Chilled Champagne |
Directions
Place the Sugar Cube at the bottom of a Champagne Flute
Cover the Sugar Cube with the Bitters
Pour the Brandy into the Glass
Top with Champagne
Stir for 5 Seconds
Garnish with a Lemon Twist
The Champagne Cocktail is an old drink from the 1800's. The original recipe didn't call for Brandy or a Garnish, but was later revised by Bartender Harry Johnson. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
